My Journey

My jewellery making journey started back in 2005 when I wanted to learn something new after completing my accountancy qualifications. I have always been creative, and need something to keep me busy that was an escape from my day job.

I signed myself up for a jewellery making course at my local college. Having no idea what to expect, with visions of stringing beads, little did I know that we would be in a workshop with hammers, drills and saws learning traditional silver smithing techniques.

I loved it, having the ability to create beautiful jewellery pieces in solid silver.

Since then I have gone on to complete a Certification Programme in Precious Metal Clay, a Diploma in Fine Jewellery, and an Advanced Diploma in Jewellery along with numerous other classes.

For me, sitting at my jewellers bench and creating is a kind of therapy. I find it very mindful, and I put just as much attention into each and every piece of jewellery I make.

Welcome,

I’m Katy, the designer and jeweller behind Silver Daisy, based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Also a mum to two growing boys, Daisy the labrador, and three inquisitive cats. I have a small home studio where I handcraft all of my jewellery designs.

I work with materials such as fine silver clay, sterling silver, 9ct gold, seaglass, pearls and precious gemstones to create high quality pieces of jewellery that can be treasured for years to come.

My Mission

I want to delight my customers with a high quality piece of handmade jewellery that can’t be purchased on the High Street.

I love to create simple, elegant jewellery pieces that are suitable for everyday wear. I take my inspiration from nature and the coast.

I use recycled silver and gold, and sea glass found on UK beaches. Gemstones and pearls are ethically sourced. All packaging is eco-conscious from jewellery boxes to the packing tape.

All jewellery pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay Office with my unique jewellers mark to give my customers peace of mind that they are purchasing genuine precious metals.

Once a piece is created it is carefully packaged in a jewellery box and will arrive beautifully presented in tissue paper along with a free polishing cloth and care for your jewellery card for the recipient to keep their handmade jewellery piece in tip top condition.
