I'm Katy, designer, maker, and founder of Silver Daisy, a handmade jewellery brand based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. From my small studio, alongside life as a mum to two growing boys, Daisy the Labrador, and three inquisitive cats, I create timeless jewellery inspired by the beauty of nature and the coast.

Handcrafted in recycled silver and gold, each piece is thoughtfully designed to bring effortless elegance to everyday life. Working with sterling silver, fine silver, 9ct gold, sea glass, pearls, and ethically sourced gemstones, I create jewellery with a bohemian spirit and an emphasis on quality, simplicity, and longevity.

My Mission

My mission is simple: to create beautiful, high-quality jewellery that cannot be found on the high street — pieces that feel special, personal, and are made to be treasured for years to come.

Sustainability is at the heart of Silver Daisy. I use recycled precious metals, sea glass collected from UK beaches, and ethically sourced gemstones and pearls where possible. Every order is presented in eco-conscious packaging, from the jewellery box to the packing tape, reflecting my commitment to creating responsibly.

My Journey

My journey into jewellery making began in 2005 after completing my accountancy qualifications. Looking for a creative outlet from my day job, I enrolled in a jewellery course expecting beadwork, only to discover the world of traditional silversmithing. Surrounded by hammers, saws, and silver, I found something that instantly captivated me.

What started as a hobby quickly became a passion. Since then, I have completed professional training including a Certification Programme in Precious Metal Clay, a Diploma in Fine Jewellery, and an Advanced Diploma in Jewellery. Every piece I make today is shaped by years of learning, refining techniques, and a genuine love for the craft.

Creating jewellery is my form of mindfulness. Time spent at my jeweller's bench is both creative and restorative, and I bring that same care and attention into every design.
