Ring Making & Stone Setting with Silver Clay - Full Day - St Albans

£150.00

Take your silver clay skills to the next level in this creative, hands-on workshop—ideal for those who have already completed a taster session or have some basic experience working with silver clay.

Building on your existing knowledge, this class will guide you through creating two beautiful and more advanced pieces of jewellery: a bespoke ring and either a pendant or charm featuring a stone setting. It’s the perfect opportunity to develop your technique, gain confidence, and explore new design possibilities in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Throughout the session, you’ll refine your skills in rolling, shaping, and texturing as you design and create your ring, making full use of a wide selection of stamps, cutters, and texture tools. You’ll then progress to your second piece, where you’ll learn how to successfully set a stone within silver clay—adding a striking focal point to your pendant or charm.

Working in a small, friendly group, you’ll receive plenty of one-to-one guidance as you deepen your understanding of the material. You’ll revisit and build on core techniques, while also learning more advanced skills in construction, stone setting, firing, and finishing to achieve a professional-quality result.

As your pieces are fired, they’ll transform into solid 999 fine silver—ready to be polished, assembled, and worn with pride.

All tools, materials, and refreshments are included—just bring your creativity and enjoy a rewarding workshop that builds on your silver clay journey while leaving you with two unique, handcrafted pieces to treasure.

Materials included in the course fee are:

  • 7 grams of silver clay

  • 10 grams of silver clay

  • 3 fireable stones (usually CZs)

  • Sterling silver chain for the pendant

  • Gift bag and polishing cloth

You will also receive printed course materials to take home, along with guidance on where to purchase supplies and exclusive discounts to help you continue your jewellery-making journey after the workshop.

Refreshments, including tea, coffee, soft drinks, and biscuits will be available throughout the day. A lunch break will be scheduled during this full-day course, so please bring a packed lunch.
