Organic Forms with Silver Clay - Full Day - St Albans

£150.00

Spend a relaxed and inspiring day exploring the art of silver clay jewellery making in a small, friendly group, surrounded by beautiful surroundings. This immersive, in-person workshop is perfect for beginners and those looking to expand their creative skills, with plenty of individual guidance throughout the day.

Over the course of 6 hours, you will learn how to design and create 2–3 unique, finished jewellery pieces. The focus of the workshop is on working with organic forms and textures, drawing inspiration from nature. You’ll explore ways to incorporate elements such as leaves, flowers, shells, fossils, coral, and other natural surfaces to shape and imprint your designs, resulting in truly one-of-a-kind pieces.

Once the silver clay is fired your jewellery pieces will be 999 Fine Silver which is hallmark quality.

Two key techniques will be taught:

  • Applying silver clay paste directly onto natural materials such as leaves to capture their intricate details

  • Creating your own moulds for pressing and imprinting textures into silver clay

  • All tools and equipment are provided, including access to a kiln for firing and a polishing machine for finishing your work. Your materials are included in the course fee:

  • 7 grams of silver clay

  • 10 grams of silver paste

  • A choice of a sterling silver chain or ear wires

  • Gift bag and polishing cloth

You will also receive printed course materials to take home, along with guidance on where to purchase supplies and exclusive discounts to help you continue your jewellery-making journey after the workshop.

Refreshments, including tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available throughout the day. A lunch break will be scheduled during this full-day course, so please bring a packed lunch.

This workshop offers a welcoming and creative environment where you can slow down, learn new skills, and leave with beautiful handmade jewellery to treasure.
