Discover the wonderful art of wax carving and create your very own one-of-a-kind silver ring at Silver Daisy Jewellery Studio, right in the heart of St Albans city centre.
Perfect for complete beginners, this fun and relaxed workshop is a lovely way to try something new, enjoy a creative day out with friends, make it a date or simply treat yourself to some creative 'me time'!
With friendly, step-by-step guidance, you'll learn how to design and carve your ring from specialist jeweller's wax. You'll size your ring, use saws and files to create your chosen shape, add beautiful textures and details, then smooth and refine your design ready for casting.
Your finished wax ring will be sent away to be professionally cast into sterling silver, before being carefully finished and polished, ready for collection or postage approximately two weeks after your workshop.
Personalised engraving is also available once your ring has been cast, for an additional charge.
The workshop costs £75 per person, including tuition, all wax carving materials and use of our specialist jewellery-making tools and equipment.
The cost of casting your ring into sterling silver is additional and depends on the weight of your design. As a guide, this is usually between £5 and £30, depending on how delicate or chunky your ring is.
We'll happily guide you through the options and give you a better idea of the casting cost during the workshop, once your design starts to take shape.
